Telecommunications and Media

The Brattle Group provides financial, regulatory, strategic and economic analyses to telecommunications companies, law firms, and federal, state, and local government agencies. We apply economic and financial tools to industry issues such as the valuation of spectrum, the assessment of damages in litigation, the pricing of network access and interconnection, and the analysis of market conditions, competition, pricing, and costs. Our clients span the industry: from investors, manufacturers, and technologists, to wireless and wireline service providers and policymakers.

We have worked before or on behalf of the U.S. Congress, the Department of Justice, the Department of State, the Federal Communications Commission, state regulatory commissions, and international regulatory agencies. Our work has been applied to commercial litigation, federal and state regulatory initiatives, and in the detailed analysis associated with strategy formulation. We perform retrospective analyses and estimate damages in wireless communications, local and long-distance telephony, cable television, global satellite service, European ADSL markets, and IP-based networks.
