Mentoring and Buddy Program

Mentoring Program
The Brattle Group maintains a mentoring program where you will receive opportunities for personal guidance to enhance and develop expertise and quality performance. We believe this is a mutual effort where mentees are also encouraged to seek out mentoring moments.

Mentors serve several important functions:

  • They act as role models and offer guidance for professional development.
  • They provide an independent sounding board for issues and concerns regarding project and company related matters.
  • They help integrate new consultants of all levels into the firm.
  • They provide a consistent source of information for the people they mentor.
  • They act as advocates for the professional development interests of the individuals they are counseling in terms of resource allocation and learning and development opportunities.
Here is how the process works:

  • Associates are mentored by principals.
  • Research analysts and research associates are mentored by associates.
  • Mentors and mentees meet periodically to discuss concerns and provide advice, and assess professional development interests and goals.
  • During the review period, mentors provide feedback to associates and RAs on their strengths and weaknesses and help set future goals concentrating on professional growth.
Buddy Program
New Consultants are assigned a “Buddy” who helps acclimate them in the more subtler ways of the culture, people, and informal ways that things get done. The “Buddy” also provides more specific learning the first few days of the consultant’s tenure, focusing on software skills, organizational skills for the job, and other practice area understanding.
