New Consultant Training (NCT) includes basic skill development in areas such as software applications and practice area concepts and tasks, for example analyzing financial statements or determining cost of capital and spreadsheet modeling. New staff are also introduced to information resources available and familiarized with other topics such as The Brattle Group's litigation process and auditing procedures. In the spring, we delve deeper into technical skills such as STATA, Access, Visual Basic, and SAS training.

The NCT segments are generally taught by consulting and non-consulting staff who are experts in the particular areas. Some of the technical skills training may be taught by external providers where we have developed customized courseware to meet our business needs.

This organized training allows new staff to get up to speed quickly, acquaints them with our standard methodologies, and tunes them in immediately to our high standards for quality and consistency. The program also helps strengthen and broaden knowledge and job-related skills.
