To orient incoming consulting staff to their new roles and to the company, The Brattle Group invites them to a three-day program that acclimates and gets them involved in several ways: - The program presents the history of the firm, provides an overview of practice areas, and describes the tasks and responsibilities the new staff will tackle in their project work.
- Senior staff members familiarize new staff with The Brattle Group's corporate structure.
- During the meeting, new staff participate in an interactive case study, working in teams to resolve complex issues. In the process, team members exchange ideas and challenge one another's facts and conclusions in a friendly, collaborative atmosphere.
- Teams are also challenged to present their findings as a group to members of the firm.
- Over the three days, the new staff begin to form relationships and get a feel for working together through a variety of formal exercises and informal social activities.
- New staff learn about our performance review and career development programs.
- New consultants are assigned a "Buddy" who helps acclimate them in the more subtler ways of culture, people and informal ways that things get done. The "Buddy" also provides more specific learning the first few days of the consultant's tenure, focusing on software skills, organizational skills for the job, and other practice area understanding.
