Andy Abere to Participate in NYCBA Event on Class Certification in Antitrust Cases

Brattle Principal Andy Abere will serve as faculty for the upcoming New York City Bar Association (NYCBA) event, “Hot Topics in NY Antitrust: Class Certification and Fraud-Based Antitrust Investigations.” The event will take place at the New York City Bar and through a live webcast on April 30, 2018 from 6 to 9 pm EST.

Dr. Abere will participate in the first panel session, “Class Certification in Antitrust Cases,” discussing the Supreme Court’s decision in Tyson Foods, Inc. v. Bouaphakeo and the use of statistical evidence in class certification, as well as the implications of Tyson for future antitrust cases. Dr. Abere will also discuss challenging and defending statistical evidence at the class certification stage from an expert’s perspective.
