Benjamin Sacks to Present at the Tenth Annual Investment Treaty Arbitration Conference

Brattle Principal Benjamin Sacks will present at the Tenth Annual Investment Treaty Arbitration Conference, taking place May 12-13, 2016, in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Sacks will present during the panel session, “Damages in investment arbitration – a revolutionary remedy or reward for rich corporations at the expense of the world’s poor?‎ A fundamental examination of Chorzow’s children.” During the session, panelists will offer their insights into and opinions about significant developments in the determination of damages in international investment arbitration. Mr. Sacks’ co-panelists include Marinn Carlson of Sidley Austin and Benard Preziosi Jr. of Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle.

The conference aims to provide an overview of the dramatic developments in investment arbitration over the past decade. Specifically, with TPP and TTIP on the horizon, the event offers a stage for speakers to debate whether the field is heading towards disaster or revolution.
