Bente Villadsen to Moderate Panel at the 48th Financial Forum of the Society of Utility and Regulatory Financial Analysts

Brattle Principal Bente Villadsen will moderate a panel discussion at the annual Financial Forum of the Society of Utility Regulatory Financial Analysts (SURFA), taking place April 28-29, 2016 in Indianapolis, IN.

The Forum will provide a better understanding of current cost of capital issues affecting the regulated utility industry for attorneys, utilities, regulatory personnel, as well as consumer advocate agencies, among others.

Panelists will discuss how present capital market uncertainty, combined with a changing utility landscape will impact utilities, investors, and consumers. Other topics of discussion will include the FERC ROE Model, how anticipated changes in interest rates should be factored into return on equity estimates, and how investments in rate base should be valued.

Dr. Villadsen will moderate the panel, “Share the Risk – Projected versus Historical Test Year.” Dr. Villadsen currently serves on the SURFA Board of Directors.
