Bill Zarakas to Present at EUCI Annual Conference on Utility Integrated Resource Planning

Brattle principal Bill Zarakas has been selected to present at EUCI’s 15th Annual Utility Integrating Resource Planning (IRP) conference, taking place May 14-15, 2015 in Atlanta, GA.

The conference will cover the most critical current resource planning issues facing the industry, including the advance of renewable and distributed energy resources, slumping load growth, aggressive air quality regulations, greater emphasis on energy efficiency, and demand side strategies. Featuring leading utility and power resource professionals and experts, the program will address the key issues associated with these emerging operational environmental mandates, intermittent and variable energy resources, regulatory policies, and uncertainty factors.

Mr. Zarakas will present during the session, “Resource Planning in a Transforming Utility Business Model Environment,” which will evaluate the economic, financial, strategic, and regulatory analyses in the utility industry that align with the telecommunications and media industries. He will also discuss the convergence of energy and communications, including utility deployment of broadband, and the analysis of smart grid applications.
