Brattle Consultants Ahmad Faruqui and Sanem Sergici to Speak at CRRI’s 29th Annual Eastern Conference
Dr. Ahmad Faruqui, a principal in The Brattle Group’s San Francisco office, and Dr. Sanem Sergici, an associate in The Brattle Group’s Cambridge office, will speak at the Rutgers University’s Center for Research in Regulated Industries (CRRI) 29th Annual Eastern Conference taking place May 19-21, 2010 in Skytop, Pennsylvania. The conference is an advanced workshop in regulation and competition in the telecommunications and energy industries. It will focus on issues such as postal and telecommunications, market structure and RTOs, performance and reliability, and demand response. Drs. Faruqui and Sergici will present “Evaluation of Baltimore Gas & Electric Company’s Smart Energy Pricing Program,” an analysis of Baltimore Gas & Electric Company’s dynamic pricing experiment, the Summer 2008 Smart Energy Pricing (SEP) pilot program. They will discuss the study’s findings, including the impacts of critical-peak pricing and peak-time rebates on demand, in conjunction with several enabling technologies.
