Brattle Consultants to Lead EUCI Course on Utility Accounting and Financial Analysis

Brattle principal Bente Villadsen and senior consultant Bin Zhou will serve as instructors for the upcoming EUCI course, “Utility Accounting and Financial Analysis: The Impact of Regulatory Initiatives on Accounting and Credit Metrics,” taking place January 30-31 in Chicago. The course will highlight the fundamentals of how accounting, financial analysis, and regulatory decisions interact within utilities. Drs. Villadsen and Zhou, who have experience advising utilities on finance and accounting matters, will cover the basics of utility accounting with an emphasis on topics unique to the utility industry. They will also discuss how regulatory measures impact accounting, including income, cash flow, and credit metrics.
