Brattle Consultants to Present at 10th Annual International Industrial Organization Conference

Several Brattle consultants will be presenting at the 10th Annual International Industrial Organization Conference (IIOC), taking place March 16-18, 2012 at the George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia. The IIOC is hosted by the Industrial Organization Society, which promotes research on antitrust policy, regulatory policy, and competition and market power in real-world markets. The conference will feature 100 sessions on over 350 research papers focused on these areas of research. John Kwoka, a Brattle academic advisor and the Neal F. Finnegan Distinguished Professor of Economics at Northeastern University, will be presenting alongside Brattle senior consultant Kevin Hearle on a paper they co-authored, “Structured Competition in the Modern Airline Industry.” Brattle associate Nick Powers will be presenting his paper, “Analyzing the Competitive Effects of Exchanges or Sales of Airport Landing Slots,” co-authored by Brattle principal James Reitzes, research analyst Brendan McVeigh, and Sam Moy.
