Brattle principal Ahmad Faruqui will speak at the 2011 National Town Meeting on Demand Response and Smart Grid in Washington, DC from July 12th – 14th, 2011. This program, hosted by the Association for Demand Response & Smart Grid, brings together stakeholders from utilities, technology companies, ISOs, Congress, federal and state agencies, environmental groups, and research and consulting firms to discuss what has happened this year, discuss the implementation of the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s (FERC) National Action Plan on Demand Response and set an agenda for the years to come. The keynote speaker for event will be Senator Mark Udall (D-CO) who has become a key supporter of demand response and the smart grid in the United States. Dr. Faruqui, one of the nation’s leading experts on the smart grid, helps clients assess the economics of dynamic pricing, demand response, advanced metering infrastructure, and energy efficiency.
