Brattle Principal Carlos Lapuerta Participates in European University Institute Training Course

Carlos Lapuerta, a principal in Brattle’s London office, recently participated in the European University Institute’s “Advanced Training on Regulation of Gas Markets.” The program was held from March 26 – 30, 2012 in Fiesole, Italy. Hosted by the Florence School of Regulation (FSR) at the Institute, the five-day program brought together energy regulators and companies to discuss issues relevant to the gas market in the EU. Topics included gas market development, regulation of gas pipeline systems in the EU and elsewhere, security of supply and new infrastructure, and regulation of LNG. Mr. Lapuerta gave two presentations on the second day of the program on market functioning and design. He discussed both the evolution of contracts and trading as well as new regulation of trading in the EU gas market. For more information on this program, please visit the Institute’s website.
