Brattle Principal Dan Harris to Co-Chair Forum on Long Term Gas Supply Contracts

Dan Harris, a principal in Brattle’s Rome office, will serve as co-chair at the Second Annual Forum on Commercial and Legal Strategies for Successfully Negotiating Long Term Gas Supply Contracts, taking place June 13-14, 2012 in Berlin, Germany. The two-day conference will feature leading industry figures from all areas of the energy sector to provide an in-depth evaluation of key market concerns pertaining to gas supply contracts. Because of economic uncertainty surrounding the European gas market, oil and gas prices continue to diverge. Those functioning under oil-indexed long term gas supply contracts are obligated to buy high and sell low, which is worsening profit margins. The conference program will seek to answer pertinent questions concerning both price renegotiation and arbitration of gas contracts. Mr. Harris, an expert in the economics of gas and electricity markets around the world, will deliver the conference’s opening remarks. For more information, please visit the conference website.
