Brattle Principal Hannes Pfeifenberger to Speak at Law Seminars International Conference on California’s Energy Industry

Brattle principal Hannes Pfeifenberger will present at the “Energy in California” conference, taking place November 12 and 13, 2012 in San Francisco, CA. Hosted by Law Seminars International (LSI), the conference will bring together attorneys, industry executives, economists, consultants, and tribal and governmental officials involved with energy regulatory and project development issues in California. The focus will be on the state’s energy industry, which continues to be dominated by environmental objectives, creating new challenges and opportunities. Mr. Pfeifenberger will speak on “Capacity Markets for California,” and specifically the trends for resource adequacy, retirements and repowering, compensating existing generators, encouraging future development, and perspectives on whether the time is right to explore a capacity market. He will speak on this topic alongside Alexandre Burke Makler, Esq., Vice President of Strategic Origination and Development at Calpine Corp and Roy M.
