Brattle Principal Judy Chang Participates in TransForum West Conference

Brattle principal Judy Chang recently participated in the TransForum West Conference in San Diego, CA. This event brings together electric transmission executives who operate, plan, build, regulate, and invest in electric power transmission systems in Western North America.

TransForum West is centered on the most important issues facing this industry today. The goals of the conference are to maximize participants’ efficiency, reduce costs and/or risks, and leverage industry resources.

Ms. Chang participated in the Integrating Renewable Energy panel on Tuesday, May 6. Her presentation, “Transmission to Capture Geographic Diversity of Renewables: Cost Savings Associated with Interconnecting Systems with High Renewables Penetration,” addresses the implications for the West when considering future proposed transmission to this region. The presentation was co-authored by Brattle principal Johannes Pfeifenberger, senior associate Pablo Ruiz, and consultant Kai Van Horn.
