Brattle Principal Judy Chang to Speak at Environmental and Energy Industry Summit

Brattle principal Judy Chang will speak at the Environmental and Energy Industry Summit, hosted by the Environmental Business Council of New England (EBC) and Foley Hoag LLP, taking place on November 9, 2012 in Waltham, MA. The summit, “Post Election Implications for the Environmental and Energy Industries,” will address how the outcomes of the U.S. Presidential and Congressional elections impact companies that provide environmental and energy services. The summit will focus on the Northeast, where policy drivers are strong and electric market signals are weak. Looking at energy and reflecting on economic, policy, and market factors driving changes in an ever smarter and cleaner electric grid, the summit will address changes that are already having a profound impact on revenue streams available to the environmental services industry. Specifically, the retirement of coal and oil generation, the increased use of natural gas, the status of nuclear generation, the siting of renewable generation, and the response of transmission owners. Ms. Chang will give the opening keynote presentation and will discuss the multiple messages resulting from the national vote and possible impacts for energy and environmental firms. Ms. Chang will also give a presentation on “After the Election – The New Look of Energy & Environmental Policy.” For more information please visit the EBC website.
