Brattle Principal Shaun Ledgerwood to Serve as Panelist at Energy Bar Association Seminar on the Outlook of Energy Enforcement in 2014

Brattle principal Shaun Ledgerwood will speak at a seminar hosted by the Houston Chapter of the Energy Bar Association (EBA) titled, “Energy Enforcement: Outlook for 2014,” taking place January 30, 2014 in Houston, TX.

The half-day seminar will focus on increasing enforcement activity by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the North American Electric Reliability Corporation, the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, the U.S. Department of Justice, and congressional committees. Panelists will provide practical advice for companies that have been targeted for enforcement action, and will focus on helping attendees create a compliance culture, training, risk controls, and other tools to avoid enforcement actions.

Dr. Ledgerwood will serve as a panelist during a discussion on “Market Manipulation.” He will present alongside George “Chip” Cannon, Jr. of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP; Larry Gasteiger, Deputy Director, Office of Enforcement at the FERC; and Matt Hunter, Deputy Director, Division of Market Oversight in the Surveillance Branch of the CFTC.
