Brattle Principals Hannes Pfeifenberger and Sam Newell to Discuss Results of Their PJM RPM Evaluation in Conference Call Hosted by UBS

Brattle principals Hannes Pfeifenberger and Sam Newell will discuss their latest assessment of PJM Interconnection’s Reliability Pricing Model (RPM) and recommendations for future modifications to the capacity market design during a conference call hosted by UBS on October 13, 2011 at 2:00 pm EST. A team of Brattle consultants, led by Mr. Pfeifenberger and Dr. Newell, completed the second triennial performance assessment of PJM’s RPM in August, and found that the market has achieved its design objective of achieving resource adequacy at a price consistent with the supply and demand for capacity. The analysis also identified some modifications that would help to ensure future resource adequacy and increase market efficiency. The conference call, hosted by Julien Dumoulin-Smith of the Electric Utilities & IPPs Group of UBS, will summarize the findings of Brattle’s analysis and their recommendations for future design modifications.
