Bruce Tsuchida to Participate in UVIG International Hybrid Power System Workshop

Brattle Principal Bruce Tsuchida will participate in the Utility Variable-Generation Integration Group’s (UVIG) 2nd International Hybrid Power Systems Workshop, taking place December 6-7, 2016 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The conference will focus on the deployment of wind, solar, battery, and diesel technologies on isolated and islanded power systems and microgrids, discuss what has worked (and what has not), and provide insight into needed areas of improvement. Panel discussions will explore their applications in a variety of locations and operating environments with a focus on system design, operating experience, business models, economics, and implementation issues.

Mr. Tsuchida will chair the panel session, “Power System Planning and Design,” and will present during the session, “System Design and Operating Experience,” where he’ll discuss the Caribbean island solar-diesel-battery hybrid system.
