Principal John Simpson to Present at Knowledge Congress Webcast on Loyalty Discounts, the Intel Investigations, and ZF Meritor v. Eaton

Brattle principal John Simpson will participate in the upcoming live webcast, “Loyalty Discounts, the Intel Investigations, and ZF Meritor v. Eaton,” taking place March 31, 2014 from 12:00PM – 2:00PM EST.

This presentation will use two recent antitrust matters (the various Intel investigations and cases and ZF Meritor v. Eaton) to describe the circumstances in which an incumbent monopolist can use loyalty discounts with buyers to exclude a rival. In addition to noting the circumstances where loyalty discounts can be used to predate a rival, the presentation will also describe two economic theories of exclusion that do not rely on below-cost pricing by the incumbent.

Hosted by The Knowledge Group/The Knowledge Congress Live, the live webcast will bring together antitrust attorneys and other interested professionals to understand the significant issues surrounding loyalty discounts and these cases.
