Renée Duplantis and Joshua Gans to Present at Emerging Competition Issues Workshop

Brattle Principal Renée Duplantis and Academic Advisor Joshua Gans will present at the upcoming Canadian Competition Bureau’s workshop “Emerging Competition Issues: Keeping Pace in a Changing World,” taking place January 19, 2016 in Ottawa, Ontario.

The workshop features speakers from business, academia, the legal community, and government, both domestic and international. Participants will discuss disruptive new business models, the implications for competition policy, and how best to incorporate non-price effects into competition assessment.

Dr. Duplantis and Prof. Gans will participate in the panel discussion “Non-price effects in competition assessment,” which addresses how non-price effects are becoming widely recognized within competition policy circles. The panel will also discuss when non-price effects can be quantified and methodologies for capturing quantitative and qualitative data.
