Robert Mudge Presents at Wisconsin Public Utility Institute Conference on Community-Based Solar

Brattle Principal Robert Mudge presented at the Wisconsin Public Utility Institute (WPUI) conference on “Community-Based Solar in Wisconsin,” which took place February 25, 2016 at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

The program examined the future of community-based solar photovoltaic (PV) options for Wisconsin. Representatives from government and industry organization discussed the opportunities for solar as a distributed energy resource, the legislative and regulatory response to community-based solar, lessons from recent community solar research, as well as community experiences from utilities and energy cooperatives.

Mr. Mudge presented on “The Benefits of Community-scale Solar PV.” Mr. Mudge was a co-author of the July 2015 report, “Comparative Generation Costs of Utility-Scale and Residential-Scale PV in Xcel Energy Colorado’s Service Area,” prepared for First Solar with support from the Edison Electric Institute.
