Shaun Ledgerwood Presents to NYC Bar Association on the Corollaries between Market Manipulation and Antitrust

Brattle principal Shaun Ledgerwood recently presented on market manipulation and antitrust to the NYC Bar Association Antitrust and Trade Regulation Committee. The event took place on February 25, 2014 in New York City and featured an agenda with discussions pertaining to financial benchmark manipulations and the role of antitrust in such actions.

Dr. Ledgerwood’s presentation, “Market Manipulation and Antitrust: Complements or Substitutes?” addresses the tension between fraud-based market manipulation versus antitrust claims, the corollaries between them, and a framework for analyzing manipulation using either standard. Dr. Ledgerwood was joined on the panel by Arthur J. Burke of Davis Polk and Christopher Lovell of Lovell Stewart Halebian Jacobson.
