Torben Voetmann to Present at Practising Law Institute's Program on Finance for Lawyers and Other Professionals

Brattle Principal Torben Voetmann will speak at Practising Law Institute’s (PLI) program, “Pocket MBA 2018: Finance for Lawyers and Other Professionals,” to be held October 1-2 in San Francisco, CA and via webcast.

The objective of the event is to enhance attendees’ understanding of business strategies, accounting fundamentals and vocabulary by providing practical advice and example applications of the information to actual situations.

Dr. Voetmann will present during the panel session “Financial Information Analysis.” The panelists will discuss how financial information is used in business strategy and the increased focus on non-GAAP metrics. Additionally, panelists will evaluate common financial metrics, including earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and assets (EBITDA), return on investment (ROI), discounted cash flow (DCF), net present value (NPV), and internal rate of return (IRR). The panelists will also analyze a case study on calculating common financial metrics.
