Judy Chang Featured on NPR Discussing Tensions Between Utilities and Rooftop Solar Companies

Brattle principal Judy Chang was recently featured during an NPR segment addressing the tension between electric utilities and firms that provide new technologies, such as rooftop solar, that are reducing the demand to generate more electricity.

Ms. Chang has expertise in the analysis of electricity power markets and advises clients on the financial and regulatory issues relating to renewable energy investment and procurement decisions. Her recent work includes evaluating the potential impact of integrating renewable energy onto power systems.

“Solar is here to stay,” said Ms. Chang during the broadcast. “Utilities have to cope with that. Personally, I think they should cope with it by embracing it, because you can only fight it so far.”
