Pallavi Seth Appointed Vice-Chair of ABA’s International Trade Commission Committee

Brattle senior associate Dr. Pallavi Seth has been appointed as Vice-Chair of the International Trade Commission (ITC) Committee in the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Section of Intellectual Property Law (ABA-IPL) for the upcoming 2015-2016 membership year.

As Vice-Chair, Dr. Seth will be part of the leadership team to provide thoughtful consideration of emerging issues in disputes involving intellectual property, and encourage the development of relevant and timely programming and publications dedicated to those issues. The ABA-ITC Committee addresses practice before the U.S. International Trade Commission, including enforcement of ITC exclusion orders in patent, trademark, gray market, copyright, and related matters and appeals thereof to the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the Court of International Trade; pending or proposed legislation relating to the ITC; and the administration of the ITC as it relates to the enforcement of ITC remedial orders.

Dr. Seth is an expert in intellectual property litigation and policy, including investigations at the ITC. She has prepared testimony on a range of economic issues in such investigations and assisted leading technology companies, including Samsung, Apple, HP, Intel, Macronix, and Nokia. Dr. Seth previously served as Chair of Programs of the ABA-ITC Committee.
