Principal Jürgen Weiss Recognized as an Influential Policy Maker by the Journal of Environmental Investing

Brattle Principal Jürgen Weiss has recently been recognized as a top influential policy maker by the Journal of Environmental Investing (JEI) and featured in their article, “Environmental Investing: The Most Influential Policy Makers.” The article highlights individuals who are actively working to form and implement key policies that provide the necessary conditions for environmental investing.

Dr. Weiss, who heads Brattle’s climate change practice, is an energy economist who specializes in issues broadly motivated by climate change concern, such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy storage, and carbon pricing. His consulting and expert testimony experience have focused on the impact of changing regulatory and incentive frameworks for low-carbon technologies, on the economics of both renewable generation sources and existing generation assets, and on the design of efficient incentive mechanisms for renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy storage, and climate change measures.

Founded in 2010, the JEI is an online-only academic publication that publishes research in all areas at the intersection of the environment and investing. It focuses on the critical issues of creating, deploying, financing, structuring, and managing successful market-based solutions to current environmental challenges.
