The Brattle Group Opens an Office in Sydney

The Brattle Group announced today that it has opened an office in Sydney to support its clients in Australia and the greater Asia-Pacific region with face-to-face collaboration and efficient access to the firm’s global resources.

“Twenty five years ago, as a young associate, I was fortunate to work on our first project in Australia,” said Alexis Maniatis, President of The Brattle Group. “Brattle has been active ever since on an increasing range of projects that draw on our expertise in economics, regulation, and finance. We are thrilled to bring a local presence to grow our work in litigation, energy markets, competition, and advice to companies and governments.”

The Sydney office is led by Brattle Principal Toby Brown, formerly of the firm’s San Francisco office, who specializes in energy markets and infrastructure regulation. He has consulted for producers, pipelines, utilities, and regulators in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, the United States, and Canada. Dr. Brown’s consulting experience in Australia includes gas pricing, wholesale market design, and advising on best practices for infrastructure access based on experience in different jurisdictions worldwide.

Dr. Brown will be joined by Senior Associate Neil Lessem and a team of consultants with exceptional analytic and research skills. Working with experts from across the firm, the Sydney team will provide clients with the full range of Brattle’s consulting services in arbitration, competition, electricity market design, infrastructure relegation, securities litigation, transfer pricing and tax disputes, and valuation and damages. We also maintain affiliations with highly regarded academics who serve as experts on many client engagements.

The Sydney office is located at Citigroup Centre at 2 Park Street in Sydney NSW. For more information, please click here.
