Dr. Butkeviciute is an economist with experience in competition inquiries, litigation, and regulatory policy issues.
Having worked in both a consultancy setting and for a UK sector regulator, Dr. Butkeviciute has supported testifying experts in litigation in several commercial disputes, and she has advised clients in various sectors, including in the automotive, financial services, online platforms, healthcare, and petrochemicals industries. She has an in-depth knowledge of the payments industry and has delivered economic analyses in the context of market investigations, mergers, and abuse of dominance allegations.
Prior to joining Brattle, Dr. Butkeviciute worked as a competition economics consultant at one of the Big Four accounting firms and as a senior economist at the UK’s Payment Systems Regulator (PSR). At the PSR, she led a market review that examined competition in the card payments industry in the UK and provided regular economic and regulatory strategy input into other policy matters affecting the payments industry.
