Mr. Darakananda specializes in valuation, due diligence, accounting, financial reporting, and securities analysis, particularly in the context of corporate transactions.

He has worked across all litigation phases – from deposition to mediation, arbitration, and trial – and has consulted on various issues related to M&A disputes, bankruptcy, solvency, and restructuring. Mr. Darakananda has analyzed the fair market value of private companies, assessed financial reporting of intangible assets, and worked on appraisal actions. He has also worked on complex matters involving structured products, financial institutions, private equity funds, hedge funds, and local governments.

Mr. Darakananda’s securities analysis experience includes Rule 10b-5 and Section 11 class actions. In those matters, he has assessed financial disclosures, investigated market efficiency, and conducted event study analysis.

A CFA charterholder and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Mr. Darakananda is accredited in business valuation (ABV) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
