Brattle Principal Philip Hanser will present at The Climate Resilient Grid: A Forum on Energy, Climate, and The Grid, taking place June 14-15, 2017 in Asheville, NC.

The event, hosted by the American Meteorological Society (AMS), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI), Cooperative Institute for Climate and Satellites-North Carolina, and The Collider, gathers industry experts, government thought leaders, and academics to explore how climate science and data can inform energy challenges related to integrating renewables into the grid.

Dr. Hanser will moderate the discussion following the session, “Confronting the Reality: A Virginia Case Study and Opportunity,” which will address the role of nanogrids in reducing vulnerability to the major transmission grid. In addition, Dr. Hanser will also moderate and provide opening remarks for the panel discussion, “Insights from Utilities Engaged in Climate Resilience.”
