Lucrezio Figurelli to Discuss Cost Efficiency Benchmarking in the Airport Sector at ACI Meeting

Brattle Senior Associate Lucrezio Figurelli will speak on “Cost Efficiency Benchmarking in the Airport Sector: A Critical Assessment of ART’s Proposal in Italy” at the Airports Council International (ACI) Europe Economics Committee Meeting. Held October 10–11 in the Netherlands, this meeting brings together ACI Europe’s membership of airport operators of all sizes, national airport associations, world business partners, and educational establishments.

Dr. Figurelli’s presentation will discuss why Italy’s Transport Regulation Authority’s proposed benchmarking techniques have important limitations that make them unreliable to set efficiency targets in the airport sector.
