The Brattle Group Welcomes Jaya Saxena as Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
We are pleased to announce that Jaya Saxena has joined the firm as Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). This new role supports Brattle’s commitment to promoting equitable and inclusive practices throughout our company, as well as in related sectors.
Collaborating with firm leadership and working across the organization, Ms. Saxena will lead all of Brattle’s firm-wide DEI efforts to optimize culture and align diversity and inclusion goals with business outcomes. This includes joining the leadership DEI Steering Committee and chairing the firm’s grassroots DEI Council.
“We’re thrilled to be welcoming Jaya at such a pivotal time of workplace change,” said Brattle COO Kevin Steinberg. “Jaya brings deep DEI expertise and a unique combination of legal and academic experience, all of which positions her to bring insights, effect change, and address global and local challenges that are shaping our firm and the broader economic consulting DEI landscape.”
A frequent speaker at local and national conferences, Ms. Saxena is a licensed attorney whose qualifications include around 15 years of advocacy and professional development expertise. One of her core focuses is on rebuilding systems, structures, and processes to be more equitable and inclusive, while supporting employees in the workplace.
“I’m joining Brattle at an exciting point in its DEI journey and an important time of awakening in our society,” shared Ms. Saxena. “With tremendous support from leadership and enthusiasm from the firm, Brattle is poised to be a market leader in DEI. I look forward to collaborating with my talented peers to embed DEI principles into everyday processes, especially related to talent acquisition and career development, and to fostering a culture of belonging where every Brattler feels like they can bring their full self to work and thrive.”
Before joining Brattle, Ms. Saxena was the Global Diversity Senior Manager at White & Case LLP, an Am Law 10 law firm. She also spent several years at The George Washington University Law School, where she served in multiple roles, including as the Director of the Dean’s Diversity and Inclusion Initiative. Outside of work, Ms. Saxena serves on multiple nonprofit boards.
