Brattle Principal Judy Chang will present at the Independent Power Producers Society of Alberta’s (IPPSA) 24th Annual Conference, “A Market Reborn,” taking place March 18-20, 2018 in Alberta, Canada.
The event gathers investors, consumers, and policy thinkers to discuss the capacity market in Alberta, and the Alberta Electric System Operator’s (AESO) Renewable Energy Program (REP). The event will update delegates on how these programs are unfolding and intersecting, along with all the other changes underway.
Ms. Chang will present during the panel discussion, “Hello World! The New Alberta Power Market.” She and her co-panelists will provide the first opportunity to hear an update on the policy framework and draft proposal of Alberta’s new electricity market. Ms. Chang will also discuss how the proposed market design is specifically suitable for Alberta in comparison to other markets, given the features of the Alberta marketplace, the government’s policy direction, and the evolving technological and cost changes.
The Brattle Group is a sponsor of this event. To learn more, or to register, please visit the IPPSA website. Ms. Chang’s presentation is available for download below.
