Brattle Principal Ahmad Faruqui recently spoke on international experiences with customer-facing smart grid innovations such as demand response, dynamic pricing, energy efficiency, and plug-in electric vehicles at two conferences on November 7 in Hong Kong.
Dr. Faruqui presented at The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) Smart Metering Symposium, sponsored by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and CLP Power. The conference examined the benefits and challenges of bringing smart meters to Hong Kong. Dr. Faruqui addressed the conference during a lunch presentation on “The Customer-Side Benefits of Advanced Metering Infrastructure.”
Dr. Faruqui also spoke at the 3rd Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macau Power Industry Summit, which focused on “Green, Low Carbon, Sustainable Development.” Dr. Faruqui delivered the keynote address on “The Global Tao of the Smart Grid.”
