Brattle Principal Ahmad Faruqui recently presented at the World Smart Grid Forum 2013, taking place September 24-25, 2013 in Berlin, Germany.

The two-day program brought together industry leaders and experts to present and discuss the results of smart grid decision-making from an executive perspective. Event presentations examined successes, failures, and the consequences stemming from these policy decisions.

Dr. Faruqui presented during the session, “Smart Energy – Visions for the Smart Grid Evolving Towards Smart Customers and Smart Markets.” His discussion focused on consumer engagement and covered the results of worldwide consumer pilots, and examined the potential of rates to which customers can react as well as how to design smart rates and introduce them.
