The annual program hosted by Wärtsilä, a global leader in complete life-cycle power solutions for the marine and energy markets, provides a forum for roundtable discussion to examine the challenges facing smart power generation and to provide potential answers to the energy questions of tomorrow.

Dr. Celebi spoke on “Coal Plant Retirements & Market Impacts.” His presentation provided an overview on key environmental regulations and the U.S. coal fleet, and discussed the economics of retirement or retrofit decisions and the impact on gas demand and power prices.
