Brattle Principal Frank Graves will participate at the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) conference, “Nuclear Energy at a Crossroads,” taking place October 24, 2016, in Washington, DC.

The conference will examine different aspects of the economics of nuclear power generation, including the characteristics of domestic and global markets where nuclear power is flourishing, as well as the relative advantages and disadvantages of nuclear as an electricity generation technology. The discussion will also focus on how the rise of new suppliers and emerging global partnerships affect the viability of nuclear power generation and whether there are potential energy security implications. Speakers will also explore what low carbon pathways look like with and without nuclear energy.

Dr. Graves will present during the session, “Global and U.S. Outlooks for Nuclear Power,” where he’ll be speaking alongside Laszlo Varro, Chief Economist at the International Energy Agency.
