Brattle Principal Jürgen Weiss and Senior Associate Michael Hagerty will join panels to discuss decarbonization and electrification at the Law Seminars International (LSI) New Developments Conference on Renewable Energy in New England, which will take place March 12–13 in Boston.

Dr. Weiss will speak during the March 12 session on “Decarbonization: Renewable Resource Needs Analysis.” He will discuss the long-term forecast for what will be required to reach the region’s decarbonization goals.

Mr. Hagerty will speak during the March 13 session on “Regional Transmission Planning and Development: Issues Arising from the Move Towards Greater Electrification.” The panel will address the impact of shifting the location of lowest-cost resources away from distant renewables and towards more local ones.
