Pablo Ruiz to Speak at FERC Technical Conference on Increasing Efficiency Through Improved Software

Brattle senior associate Pablo Ruiz will present at the upcoming Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) technical conference, “Increasing Real-Time and Day-Ahead Market Efficiency Through Improved Software,” taking place June 22-24, 2015 in Washington, DC.

The FERC is seeking opportunities to enhance operational efficiency by encouraging public utilities to consider new modeling software for their market operations. By improving efficiency and identifying ways in which utility assets operations can be optimized, the Commission will in turn enhance the operational efficiency to benefit all public utility customers.

Dr. Ruiz will present on “Topology Control Algorithms Impacts in Day-Ahead Markets - Simulations in PJM,” co-authored by Brattle principal Bruce Tsuchida.
