Brattle Principal David Robinson Co-Authors Report on Collaboration Between the EU and China to Lower Carbon Emissions

Dr. David Robinson, a principal in Brattle’s Madrid office, has co-authored “Addressing Large Developing Country Emissions: The Case for Strategic Sino-European Collaboration under Joint Commitments,” a report published by the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies (OIES) and funded by the Swedish Energy Agency. The report explores the potential for addressing developing country emissions through bilateral "Joint Commitment Framework Agreements" (JCFA), which are complementary to the UN’s multilateral approach to climate change. Co-authored by Benito Müller (OIES) and Zhang Xiliang (Tsinghua University), the report explore the potential for a JCFA to promote collaboration between European and Chinese enterprises to reduce CO2 emissions in China, particularly through an expansion of wind power generation and its integration into the Chinese power system. For more information on this report, please visit the OIES website.
