The Brattle Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Pinar Bagci to principal.

Dr. Bagci joined Brattle’s London office in 2011. She has more than 15 years of experience advising on competition and regulatory matters and on the economics of energy and financial markets. In these areas, she has supported clients throughout EU antitrust, merger, and state aid investigations. Her clients include Europe’s most prominent companies as well as regulators, competition authorities, and governments.

Dr. Bagci’s antitrust work includes assisting clients with analyses of costs and prices, geographic and product market definition, competition assessment, efficiencies, and remedies analyses. In regulation matters, she has advised companies and regulators on market design and trading arrangements, wholesale and retail competition, third party access arrangements, and price determination. Dr. Bagci is also a Special Adviser to the UK Parliament Select Committee on Competition in Banking.

Dr. Bagci holds a Ph.D. and M.Phil. in Economics from Cambridge University, and an MBA and B.A. from Victoria University (New Zealand).
