Brattle Supports Resolution of UK Google Shopping Follow-On Damages Claim
Brattle served as economic advisor to Connexity UK Limited in connection with its damages claim against Google before the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT), which has been resolved.
The claim followed the European Commission’s 2017 Google Shopping decision, which found that Google had abused its dominant position in online comparison-shopping services (CSS). Connexity, a marketing technology company, supports online retailers in acquiring new customers.
Brattle competition economics expert Peter Davis assisted Connexity, supported by a Brattle team led by Can Celiktemur and Filippo Nezzo.
