Ryan Hledik Interviewed by Yale’s Climate Connections on the Connection between Grid Upgrades and Rising Electricity Prices
Principal Ryan Hledik was recently interviewed for Yale’s Climate Conversations on the connection between grid upgrades and rising electricity prices.
The interview references findings from an October 2025 Berkeley Lab report that Brattle experts, including Mr. Hledik, contributed to, which found no significant correlation between higher prices and market-based procurements of utility-scale solar and wind. Mr. Hledik noted, “One of the factors that is driving rates up across most parts of the US is the increase in the cost of the distribution system.”
