Dr. Sojli is an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Business School and the President of Australia’s Financial Research Network (FIRN).

Her research focuses on empirical industrial organization at the firm and market levels, innovation, commercialization, market microstructure, and international finance. With extensive experience applying empirical methods to analyze asset pricing, institutional investment, and market efficiency, her work is particularly relevant to matters involving securities litigation, market efficiency, class certification, and damages. She also has expertise in intellectual property-related analyses.

An Associate Editor of the Journal of Financial Markets and The Financial Review, Dr. Sojli’s work has been published in leading finance and economics journals and presented at numerous conferences. In addition to serving as President of FIRN, she has held academic appointments at several institutions, including as a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, Rice University, the National University of Singapore, and the London School of Economics. She is currently a Fellow of the Asian Bureau of Finance and Economic Research (ABFER) and the Asia Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association (AIEA).

Dr. Sojli was previously an Associate Professor of Finance at Erasmus University’s Rotterdam School of Management and served as Associate Dean for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at UNSW Business School.
