Mr. Kutner applies his background in economics, finance, and law to complex litigation matters.

He focuses on securities class actions, regulatory investigations, and commercial disputes, supporting counsel and expert witnesses across all phases of litigation, including class certification, merits, and damages.

Mr. Kutner analyzes claims arising under the federal securities laws, including alleged violations of Rule 10b-5. His work includes evaluating market efficiency, price impact, loss causation, materiality, and damages, including through event study methodologies and Rule 23(b) analyses.

He also conducts economic and financial analyses – including complex financial modeling – related to valuation, due diligence, and risk assessment for hedge funds, investment banks, and real estate investments, and analyzes large, complex datasets to assess trading behavior and market dynamics. Mr. Kutner holds a law degree, which informs his application of economic analysis in legal disputes.
