Mr. Pastor specializes in applying economic theory and financial valuation techniques in complex litigation. He has extensive experience analyzing investments and valuing illiquid assets, including real estate, structured financial products, and intellectual property.

He has performed valuations of real estate assets such as development projects, commercial mortgage-backed security (CMBS) tranches, and single-family homes. He has supported financial experts in disputes involving mortgage-backed security (MBS) credit rating models, mortgage servicing standards, appraisal techniques, automated valuation models, and fair housing compliance.

Mr. Pastor has broad experience performing economic and financial analysis in litigation. He has supported experts analyzing issues such as appropriate investment fee structures, material adverse effects in a disputed merger, consumer price impacts from a proposed merger, and damages from alleged trade secret theft.

Prior to joining The Brattle Group, Mr. Pastor worked in litigation consulting at a global economics consultancy.
