Mr. Sinha brings deep expertise in complex financial and valuation issues arising in securities class actions and disputes involving structured finance, private equity, and derivatives.
A seasoned financial economist with over 20 years of experience, he specializes in analyzing market efficiency, class certification, loss causation, valuation, and aggregate damages. Mr. Sinha’s experience includes multiple Rule 10b-5 and Section 11 class actions – including those involving options and other derivative securities – as well as disputes related to mergers and acquisitions (M&As), structured products, private equity, and mortgage securitization.
Skilled in leading large case teams and collaborating with experts through every litigation phase, Mr. Sinha has worked on numerous high-stakes disputes, including the AOL Time Warner Inc. Securities Litigation, Frederick Hsu Living Trust v. ODN Holding Corp., et al., and In re: Barclays PLC Securities Litigation. He advises top Am Law 100 clients on matters spanning industries from financial institutions and technology to pharmaceuticals and consumer products.
Mr. Sinha also brings deep expertise in valuing illiquid securities, analyzing benchmarks, and assessing damages related to bankruptcy, revenue recognition issues, and earnings restatements. His broad intellectual property experience includes valuations of patents, trademarks, and other intangible assets, and damages associated with trade secrets and copyright disputes.
Prior to joining Brattle, Mr. Sinha was a Vice President at a global economics consultancy.
