Mr. Jain is an entrepreneur, technology advisor, and independent expert in quantitative trading and risk management, financial markets and technology, and blockchain.

He advises technology firms, market participants, financial institutions, and other companies, as well as government authorities and regulators on areas including quantitative finance, AI, blockchain, and digital assets’ market design. Mr. Jain has served as an expert and testified in enforcement and/or criminal matters involving the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the US Department of Justice (DOJ), and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), as well as in private litigation involving complex financial instruments and cryptocurrencies and digital-assets.

Mr. Jain is the former founding Director of Stanford University’s Mathematical and Computational Finance Program, where he led program strategy and curriculum development in financial market simulation design, structured finance data analytics and AI-related innovation, high-performance computing, blockchain, and investment management.

He currently serves as Chief Scientist at CyMind, an artificial intelligence research start-up. Previously, he founded nCent Labs, a venture backed blockchain company, and managed quantitative trading portfolios at Citi Principal Strategies, Perry Capital, and DE Shaw, among other firms.
